Time: Sundays at 5:00-7:00pm
Instructor: Jenny Boynton
Price: $10/class
Guest Panelists:
11/22/20 Jake Gale and Marilyn Izdebski
11/29/20 Jake Gale and Kim Bromley
Class Description: (Drop In Accepted - 8 Student Limit)
How many times have you left an audition knowing you could have done better if you weren’t so nervous? I want to help you get rid of those nerves. In this class you will practice your monologue and song in front of a panel (myself and guest artists). This will allow you to practice being nervous and to get feedback from the people in the community you may be auditioning for in the future. We will also, if time allows, be learning to sight learn dance combinations. Let’s have a fun and improve our skills while we are stuck in our houses!
Jenny Boynton is the Artistic Director and Board Secretary for MMTC. A native to Marin County, Jenny has been performing in theater most of her life. With a stage presence bigger than life, she found that musical theater would be her concentration. She received her AA in Drama from The College of Marin and her BA in music from Dominican University. Jenny has performed with many companies throughout the Bay Area. Most notably she has performed several times with The Mountain Play Association, playing “Maria” in Man of la Mancha and as a Pick-A-Little Lady in The Music Man. Most recently, Jenny was seen as "Janet" in The Rocky Horror Show with MMTC, “Penelope Pennywise” in Urinetown the Musical with Stapleton Theater Company, and as “Bianca” in Kiss Me Kate with MMTC.
