Is there a pre-show?
Yes! 30 minutes before curtain, there will be a pre-show led by the cast of MMTC's The Rocky Horror Show. The time on your ticket is the time the pre-show starts. The purpose of the RHS pre-show, in Richard O’Brien’s own words, “There was a pre-show party used by the cast to break down any distance between performer and spectator.” Come learn the Time Warp, practice some audience callbacks, and play some fun and raunchy games!
Is the movie playing during MMTC's show?
No, this is the Broadway stage version of The Rocky Horror Show. The stage production is a musical with music, lyrics and book by Richard O'Brien. A humorous tribute to the science fiction and horror B movies of the late 1940s through to the early 1970s, the musical tells the story of a newly engaged couple getting caught in a storm and coming to the home of a mad transvestite scientist, Dr Frank-N-Furter, unveiling his new creation, a sort of Frankenstein-style monster in the form of an artificially made, fully grown, physically perfect muscle man named Rocky Horror, complete "with blond hair and a tan". The musical was adapted into the 1975 film The Rocky Horror Picture Show, starring O'Brien as Riff Raff; the film has the longest-running release in film history.
When I've seen Rocky Horror before, the audience interacts with the actors and throws things at certain parts of the show. Will that happen at this show?

Can I wear a costume?
Not only CAN you wear a costume, we'd LOVE for you to wear a costume! There will be a costume contest as a part of the pre-show shenanigans. Dress up like one of the main characters, a Transylvanian, or just wear your Halloween costume for all we care. Everyone is welcome in whatever form they choose to come! All we ask is that you leave the near-nudity to the actors.
Is there a minimum age requirement?
Nobody under age 13 will be permitted in the theater. That said, we're not *recommending* it for 13 and up necessarily, though many of us weirdo theater nerd were that young at our first Rocky experience, so we're not forbidding it, either. The Rocky Horror Show is very, very adult. It's downright raunchy, completely vulgar, and celebrates all of the weird and crazy things about sex and oddities. Be prepared for some odd conversations if you bring your kids. We are producing The Rocky Horror Show in ALL of its glory. Don't be surprised if your kids see nipple pasties and witness a lap dance during the pre-show. You've been warned.
