Although her professional career is in hospital administration and nurse education, Katie's passion has always been the performing arts. Her love of musical theatre started at 5-years-old as Pocahontas' Assistant in Peter Pan (although a made up role, it had some stellar lines). Katie is a certified Irish step dancing instructor and judge, and has a background in tap, modern, ballet, and jazz. Katie sings in the St. Patrick choir under the direction of Deborah Benedict, and is currently pursuing a degree in Dance.
Recent productions include Beauty & the Beast with the Mountain Play Association (Ensemble), Urinetown with Stapleton Theater Company (Mrs. Millenium & Dance Captain), The Most Happy Fella with West Marin Players (Ensemble & Dance Captain), and A Christmas Carol: The Musical with Stapleton Theatre Company (Ghost of Christmas Future). Katie loves working with children and has directed the children's shows produced by MMTC.
Katie is the Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Marin Musical Theatre Company and Choreographer (Kiss Me Kate, The Pajama Game).
